In partnership with charity ukactive, Sainsbury’s will be running a month-long programme of fun-based physical activity sessions designed to help kids aged 5 to 15 years lead healthier lives, get moving, and eat well.
The sessions include:
- Active play
Active play sessions are more focused on fun-based physical activity than traditional sports, and kids are encouraged to have fun above everything else. This improves social skills, self-esteem, co-ordination and physical wellbeing.
- Sports and games
With such a diverse range of sports on offer, there’s something for everyone. Our activities include gymnastics, tennis, rounders, cricket, dodgeball, football and loads more.
- Arts and crafts
But, it not all about sport. If your kids love getting arty then they can get creative and play in our arts and crafts workshop too.
And that’s not the only way we get them moving. Our dance classes will make sure of that, whether it’s learning a new dance routine or creating their own moves.
We know a healthy diet, as well as physical activity, is key to good health too. So, during lunchtime kids will also learn about nutritional wellbeing and how to build a healthy lunch themselves.
The Active Kids clubs will take place on weekdays in Manor Junior School, Sandringham Road between Monday 30 July and Friday 31 August, from 9am to 4pm.
Booking requires 200 Nectar points plus £7.50 per child, per day.
